The second ever Mine Creek Gravel Battle went off on a Saturday in Mound City, Kansas, and 103 riders proved that Linn County gravel is no joke. ​Two distances. One start line. And a beer ticket waiting at the finish for everyone who survived.

The 50km Race

Daniel Klapper took the inaugural 50km title in 1:57:00 — a time that would stand as the benchmark for exactly one year. Jordan Gronback finished second in 2:08:40, with Andrew Olson rounding out the podium in 2:17:20.

Alyson Green was the women's 50km champion with a 2:44:55 finish. Eleven women toed the line for the 50km — a strong showing for a brand-new grassroots event.

​The 100km Dominant Performance

Jordan Miller didn't just win the 100km — he crushed it. His 3:08:45 put 14 minutes between him and second place. That's not a race. That's a statement.

Daniel Noud took second in 3:22:10. Don Wasinger (3:22:38), Kelly Woolverton (3:22:53), and Dan Schaeffer (3:22:54) were separated by just 44 seconds for places 3 through 5. The battle behind Miller was real.
