Mine Creek Gravel Battle

The Mine Creek Gravel Battle offers a fantastic blend of adventure, history, and sport, allowing participants to ride through the historic terrain of the Battle of Mine Creek where dramatic events unfolded in 1864.  For cyclists, it's a way to test your skills on a challenging and scenic route, while for history buffs, it's an experience that deepens your connection to the Civil War. Combining these elements, it's a memorable way to honor the past while enjoying the present.

The second annual Mine Creek Gravel Battle is a self supported gravel bike ride that starts and finishes in downtown Mound City, Kansas. The ride utilizes the trails, gravel and dirt roads of rural Kansas. The 100 and 50 kilometer event is scheduled for Saturday, March 29, 2025.
